At LocalSoc, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform.

Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

  • Content you post or share on the platform

Google Business Profile Data

When you connect your Google Business Profile account to LocalSoc, we access certain data through Google's Business Profile APIs on your behalf, including:

  • Business listing information (name, address, phone number, category, hours, description, website)
  • Photos and media associated with your listing
  • Posts published to your listing, including posts scheduled in advance through our Schedule Post feature
  • Customer reviews and your responses to them
  • Performance and insights data related to your listing

How we use this data. We use this data solely to provide our listing-management, review-management, and local SEO services to you. We do not sell, license, or repurpose this data for any other business or third party.

Retention. Data obtained through the Business Profile APIs ("Google Content") is retained temporarily to operate and improve our platform's performance. We do not permanently archive or aggregate this data; Google Content is refreshed from Google on a rolling basis and is not retained beyond the period necessary for that purpose, consistent with Google's Business Profile API policies.

Security. We do not share your Google account credentials with any third party. Access is managed through Google's OAuth authorization system, and you may revoke LocalSoc's access to your Google Business Profile at any time through your Google Account settings or by contacting us directly.

Disconnecting your account. If you stop using LocalSoc to manage your Business Profile, you may request disassociation at any time. We will remove LocalSoc's access and any management permissions from your Google Business Profile account within seven (7) business days of your request, and you will regain exclusive control of your account.

Changes we make on your behalf. If LocalSoc makes any change to your Business Profile account (such as publishing a scheduled post, updating listing information, or adding an account manager), we will notify you of that change within 48 hours, separately from any notification Google itself may send.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain our services
  • Process your transactions
  • Send you important updates and notifications
  • Improve our platform and services
  • Protect against fraud and unauthorized access

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

  • Service providers who assist in our operations
  • Law enforcement when required by law
  • Other users as necessary for the platform's functionality

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can also opt-out of certain communications.
